once again nick may be i am old stupid man, and i see what your saying adout a new team forming but i still think its unfair to a lot of teams who pay a lot of cash ( its going to cost me £4000 to play this year!! ) and going to get possibly get well beaten by a OLD PRO TEAM like Dynasty which cost's them nothing!!!!

Sorry Twizz - but I honestly don't think finances enter into it?

If you use that as an argument, you may as well say that you would be fine with Dynasty in Division 1, if they paid their own way?

the thing i dont like about it is you can be the 2nd best team there (after dynasty) and maybe miss the finals or get knocked out of the last 16 because of a draw against dynasty rather than the european teams that could ruin your hopes of promotion,

but they should have to qualify to the spl like any other team,.
though they have missed the 1st leg, and another leg clashes with an NPPL,
so is 3 events enough to qualify, even with 1st places in all of them ?
I would of thought if they were that bothered by a millenium spot they would of bought a CPL spot, rather than taking 2 years to get to the top.

Well - if they are just playing it as a one off event - and not going for qualification - I agree they should not play!

If they only play that 1 event, it is just the worst case of sandbagging - not a serious attempt to qualify for the SPL :)

- ESPECIALLY if it is one of the Millennium Series owners that bring them over.... the least you could expect, would be for him to ensure they are in it for qualification - not just to bash low ranked teams.

Then they are entitled to, because they are a better team - that's how sports work :)

I have no problem with Dynasty moving up instead of us next year - but if them just playing one event makes the difference - and they don't go for promotion themselves - then I agree with Twizz.

Weellll....... isn´t it always like this at the first millennium of the year for example, with loads of new teams who´s naturally bottom-seeded? It could be STUFFED with brilliant players, but they would still be bottom-seeded...

So how´s is this different? Yes off course you will say this is not the first event, no it´s the second but this very scenary happend at Toulouse as well with "better" teams being bottom-seeded and as you so nicely put it "ruin the hopes of promotion" for the teams facing them.

It´s ONE event - next event they will be ranked differently strictly due to results in Germany and 7 other teams will have to face them! ;)

off-topic : its ronaldinho who plays for barcalona. ronaldo plays for real madrid? and christiano ronaldo for man utd :)
on-topic : i completely agree. would u say this also goes for teams (div3) being bumped up to fill a spot in div2. talking uk masters now rather then millenium or anything. but as u said about spending all that money to be shot off the break.

BTW: Just come to think of it - if you are the 2nd best team out there, it really doesn´t matter who the best teams is does it? You will STILL be kicked out of the tournament if you face them! ;)

Meating Dynasty in the prelims would make no difference if you are in fact the 2nd best team out there (as you put it) - then you will win your other 7 matches and still be through...

If you meet them in any of the finals chances are that you are lower seeded than them going into "sunday club", so naturally you will be the underdog there no matter what!

Still - I fail to see the problem - this is how the ranking works both going into the tournament AND then again into sunday club? :)
