Of course you will mate, wouldn't want my aura blinding you, now would we?

The weather will be warm and sunny in Miami when we are out there ...luvverly :)

Oh and as for Dynasty, as TJ says, they have more than one option now and no decision has yet been made.
This is the time of year when many teams will have offers dangled in front of them to consider and sometimes loyalty is tested to destruction if the offers are too good to refuse.

These things need to be mutually beneficial to all concerned...Ned Overrend has raced for Specialized since time immemorial and continues to do so in his late 40s. What Specialized get out of him is a guy who wins races, represents their brand well and helps the R&D team out by advising them on the changes he wants made to products and the edges he needs to win.

What Overrend gets out of Specialized is financial support to keep on doing what he wants to do - race bikes for a living - and products which allow him to compete at the highest level.

The relationship needs to be symbiotic - that's what a lot of teams and players seem to forget when it comes to sponsorship.

With regards to WDP and Dynasty specifically, both parties have been model examples of this symbiosis so far, but with Paintball new entering into the heady realms of sports agents, personal sponsorships and video game contracts, there are going to be some growing pains as players find their way into uncharted territories, and for good or bad, some old relationships are bound to fall by the wayside.

That's not, by the way, to suggest that the WDP/Dynasty tie-up will fall by the wayside - I have no idea what's going to happen there - just that I think this off season is going to see a whole lot of weird and wonderful things going down.

the Naughty Dogs and WGP have a relationship that is based on loyalty and a long history. Are there not any other big teams out there who have the same relationship as the dogs do with their sponsors? i.e no contracts, just the trusted word of both parties involved

To those take care so much

In reponse to the end of the year rumors. As always this is the
time when everyone starts worrying about what they are going
to do next year and also what are the big movers and shakers
going to be doing. IF you can find the posts from last year We were going to play NXL and have a Timmy deal. Where are we at a year later????? Winning another Triple Crown and still shooting ANGELS.
Yes is true that many manufactures have made Dynasty offers for next year to endorse their products. We have decide to take the next step and hired a true Agent (not someone from the paintball industry) to represent us and help negotiate any deals for us. We are also trying to look out side of the paintball pie and bring other sponsors into our sport to help it grow.
Dynasty has always and will be very loyal to everyone that has
helped us get where we are. We will continue to strongly support
or sponosors WDP, JT, View Loader, GAP, Splatch and SC Village.

I'd argue that the relationship is mutually beneficial and that's why it works - that has to be the bottom line, over and above loyalty and history. If the Dogs didn't help sell Cockers there'd be little point in WGP sponsorsing them; if the Dogs couldn't win with Cockers, they'd shoot another gun.

And contracts aren't necessarily bad things, they can protect both parties in the event of changing cirumstances.

Other big teams have stayed loyal to companies - Aftershock has been with PMI since dinosaurs roamed the earth.
