As a new set of posts will set you back from £2500 up to £9000 depending on the quality, thats definetly going to put a dent in Campaign's profits (unless they claim on their insurance, which will see their premiums go up)

So it might not cost the club but its certainly going to cost Niall and co. If people know who's responsible they should tell the relevant people. That team or individuals should then be made to pay or face a ban from any Millenium events.
Well hopefully as the camping area was on what looks like a practice field the post will have been of the cheaper variety, but it was a bit unsociable to break them none the less. Maybe they can be fixed at lower cost.

Anyone know who did it, just let me know and I will send the boys round to collect.

Campaign not going back to Esher has nothing to do with the broken posts (Shame on the twats that did that!), nor anything to do with the club being unhappy about having a lot of paintballs on site. The club liked the fact that they were involved, and would not be against having the Cup back next year.

As for not having Esher as the venue for next year because of feedback from these boards, well thats rubbish as well. The organisers, Niall and Jim and Colin, all read what was written on here, and despite some of the things that were written by a distinct minority, they were not affected by it at all. They are all big enough to take the critiscism that was levelled at them, some genuine, some by people with alterior motives.

The reason behind not going back to Esher is simple. The organisers noted what didnt work so well, and know that they can do better next year. However they need to move venues to do so.

Well from memory earlier in the year Niall said that he prefered Richmond RFC to Esher RFC, but that Richmond would not be available for 2004, but may well be available for 2005.

So my money is on Richmond.
