then its completely unfair on the other punters isnt it? :-/

You pay £45 for 2000 paintballs, wheras that amount of money would get them a fifth of that paint at site prices? For the same reason site owners wont let u use your own guns, to keep things fair, i dont think they'd let it happen mate

Bottom Line

Bottom Line. Delta Force site rates are their rates. They charge it so they can keep their site open and make money. You either like it or lump it. I tried negotiating before I went but they wouldn't budge on anything. Corporate policy, Health & Safety, etc.

Their has been a number of threads about punter days, one I started myself, and was humbled by others advising the good these sites do for the sport.

Yes you get people who go who wipe, don't appreciate the art of fair play, throw their toys out pram and so on... and the markers don't always work as they should and the paint won't always fly true and is hard like marbles etc etc etc, but in general punter days allow YOU/US to play walk-ons and they promote paintball to the masses. Which is a good thing. So sayeth I.

If you want reasonably priced paint. Don't do punter days. Buy 2nd hand equipment off the forums here and go to walk-ons.

(blimey I hope I havnt opened up yet another can of punter worms with this! )

I dont see why they dont let you bring your own paint. If anything they could charge a 'small' fee if they are worried about losing money.
The reason they charge so highly is because they have to pay wages to marshalls etc so that your day can be safe and enjoyable, they have to pay insurance - very expenisve i imagine, they need to have money to pay for the upkeep of the place so that the experience is even better for everybody.

and as the guy before mentioned - it helps keep walkons around.

places like delta force who rack in 400 customers sat/sun dont have big paint prices to keep there company affloat.... one of the sites near me is rumoured to have no insurance because it makes that much money it can afford to pay out if someone sue's ;/ which leads me to my next point, how to break your leg and make it delta force's fault... mmmm
