Good advice is... never take the valve out unless you have a Impulse O-ring Kit handy... valve o-rings seal very well and to get them passed the valve cap threads and into the correct position is a nightmare. I shredded 2 o-rings trying to get it back in.
Good advice pt. 2 is: never put the valve in or out through the front of the body, because you WILL shred the o-rings in the process. Use something like your handy straight shot to push it out of the back of the body, and you'll be far less likely to destroy your o-rings.

As for FSDO, there are many cures simply because there are many causes: lube on the face of the hammer, too much or too old sticky lube in the ram chamber, old lube in the solenoid, weak battery, bad solenoid driver on the board. What you need to do to fix it depends on what's causing it. In general though, look after it well, feed it nice clean air, regrease the internals from time to time but don't overgrease it and you won't have any trouble with it.

True, the valves these days are delrin anyway, and all u need to keep any eye on is the poppet (stem) seal really.

Only lube o-rings and the hammer shaft, and if you have the stock bolt, the o-rings need a fair bit.

Special lubing on stock bolts: make sure you get plenty of Dow33 on the air inlet of the bolt, it has a sharp hole cut into the bolt and needs extra protection. Also, just a very light coat over the rest of the bolt should be fine.

Us delrin bolt owners probably don't remember that bit :D
