Does the psi rating of a tank relate to the reg, or the bottle.

I have a 3000 psi appocalypse setup witha DOT tank, if I take that bottle off & replace it with a 4500 rated HSE tank, would I be able to fill to 4500, or would the reg fail?

Errrrr you can't use a DOT tank :D

And I'm more or less sure you can't fill to 4500psi when your reg is only 3000psi rated.

okay its very simple if your reg is rated to 4500psi or 3000psi it will normal be engraved some where on the reg or in the manual that came with it so that should answer your question

to fill 2 4500psi you need a 4500psi reg plus a 4500psi bottle

it aint rocket science

Generally the burst dics are there to prevent the bottles from being over filled,

It shouldnt matter what preassure is going into the reg.
