Anyone know if any of the trade stands at Campaign will be selling the Crossfire presets? I'd like to try it on my CP asa/rail before I purchase it, to make sure the fill nipple doesn't stick out at an angle that will induce a crippled wrist when it is screwed on.

With a Nexus cocker then, ideally I want to run 550 into it, can a 450psi preset keep up or should I use an 850psi preset?

Should I on the other hand sell all my presets and buy the very cheap A.I.R.'s that are about.

Oh and Broz, just had a 4 minute message on my answerphone from your pocket, you must have hit last number redial by accident. :D :D

Ok, just gonna resurrect this thread once more.....

I'm being really anal at the moment and trying to decide if the weight reduction by using a preset is enough to warrant the hasle of changing air system. Does anyone have one of those LP Crossfire presets (Ben?) who could do me a small favour? Could someone pop it on some accurate digital scales, with the bottle (1.1only) but without any bottle covers or whatever like heavy fill nipple covers? I assume cos the bottles are loctited on these days that there is only a standard type bottle that comes with them?

Kinda silly i know, but well, if someone could help it would be greatly appreciated.

Can't help you with the weight issue, but Crossfire does not loctite their regs on their bottles. They simply twist them on with substantial tork (using a strap wrench) and they stay in place. I've also seen the Crossfire boys put their regs on other makers bottles, so I don't see why you couldn't do the same if you wanted something special.

Well, good lord they have stronger arms than me - can't budge the bottle of my crossfire.

TheBroz, yes, you are being anal - but I've already been there ;)

Can't remember the weight exactly but it was about 600 grammes heavier than my Mac Dev Conquest. These weights are both with 1.1 bottles on (having said that I think Mac Dev bottles are about 200 grammes heavier than the ones Crossfire use).

Ultimately, just friggin buy one, shoot people and enjoy life ;) You won't notice the difference anyway!

Yes there is such a thing as a 450 preset.

WDPs' screw in is a preset (PMI reg I believe)

Crossfire do a 450psi preset as well which I have just got for my JD fly and have to say its the nuts :)

They were doing them for £145 with a 1.1 bottle at campaign!! bargain!! :D

Snap! Damn my Joy Fly looks the mutt's nutts now: Black to gold, clear HALO, CP rail & ASA, Crossfire 450 preset 1.1, Dye black & yellow bottle cover. I just need to get a black 12" Ultralite on it and maybe a yellow shell for the (soon to be intelifed) HALO and the beast shall be complete. Was kinda annoyed that no-one was selling Dye barrels at Campaign :(
