well....uhhhhh......sheepish grin

sorry folks. yes. guilty on all counts. Please suggest suitable (physically possible) acts of contrition...

The bunkers are not made from 'huge rolls of foam stuff'; they are in fact P.E.T. plastic based, made from the same material you'll find in two liter soda bottles.

Please put my paintball faux pas down to overly long hours and the inhalation of way too much gelatin.

Thanks again.

So is the idea that you build them into 3-dimensional bunkers like on the models, or just stand up sheets of them like in some of the pictures? I'm just thinking that in a windy climate they would catch the breeze and fall over easily?

There are two versions of the bunkers - player series, which are the flat panel bunkers shown in most of the images and the field series, which are the 3-dimensional bunkers.

the Field Series fold and lock together using the keyhole tabs you see in the pics - but the tabs have been moved to the inside in the production version.

the player series come in two sizes and you can fold each individual panel into a variety of different bunker shapes. Two or more of these panels can be attached to each other to create even larger, more complex bunkers.

Each of the player series bunkers has a number of 'feet' for staking them down; the bunkers are wind resistant and will also stand up to a fair amount of player abuse.

1000 pounds per field? LOL. Last time I checked, the exchange rate between pounds and dollars worked in the pounds' favor...

which is one of the reasons why you brits keep on coming over here...

the least expensive set - 3 player field - which comes with 20 bunkers - runs $930 us.

If we could have brought a 5 player field in at under $100 - believe me, we would have done so. You need bunkers to play - especially to practice for events - and what with paint, travel and etc being what it is, we don't believe that the cost for a field should be an impediment to getting in good practice.

PS: so - where are those acts of contrition I requested for my earlier faux pas? I thought paintballers were creative types...
