Seeing Gulo Luseus name spealt wrong was one of our trade marks - no one could pronounce or spell it - that's why most just called us Gulo. Incidently the name came from the latin for Wolverine. Gulo used to play hot & cold. When they were playing well they played awesome in the prelims to then suffer from cool down waiting for the finals. Gulo all used to be EPSF marshalls too and enjoy a fun social life. Trev, Chin & Pete are now seen on site from time to time taking photographs. Any Gulo's reading this will remember "Hook Nose Pointy Hat" and the Gulo Salute.

Then of course there was Amalgamation -

Vulcans - again another great team in it's day. And who could forget the Vulcam they used to wear? The first time I played with them was World Cup 94 or 95 (got a run out in the very last game). We then went back for the 96 World Cup as a thrown together AM team of a few Cougars, me from Gulo and the rest Vulcans. That was the year we qualified as highest AM team in the 5man and the decision made to turn Pro. We finished 7th overall - tough games but we had stepped up a level. Quite interesting is the placings that year for the two pro final divisions...

Division 1
Jax Warriors - 126 3rd Place
NWC 2 - 59
Alla's - 180 1st Place
Vulcans - 31

Division 2
Predators - 35
Avalance 2 - 180 2nd Place
Avalanche 1 - 122 4th Place
Aftershock - 15

... 3 out of the top 8 five man teams were brits. Take a note of who placed last. Oli was seen down at Dartford last year but had an accident on field. Rumour was that he had torn his knee again.

Here's another team for you Cuttin' Crew - now who remembers Ade & co?
