Post your thoughts on protection!

Hi there
Thinking of buying some pads and slide shorts.will prob be going for the DYE 1,s...but ive just seen the JT skinz.

Any1 on here tried and tested either makes if so some feedback would be nice before i spend me dosh

Also is it worth buying these or am i wasting money. o and i will be mostly playing sup-air i hope just started playing tourneys

i have the best of both worlds. I got JT skinz for the knees and shins and i taxed a pair of dye elbow forearm pads from a friend. the elbow pads are cool tho really hard to get off. you gott watch you don't burst a blood vessel. the skinz are good also they come off easy but tend to slide if you don't wear them properly i.e. the elastic loop at the top of the skinz has to go round you top thigh.

Would recommend both systems but lean more towards JT

ive not tried eather but am planning on getting a pair of short for a bit of knacker protection, saw a photo of a wounded plum a while ago that bothers me slightly!

get yourself down to planet and ask if you can try the pads on.....im still using the same trace knee/shin pads ive had for years, top gear !

I've got the same as Mario - JT Skinz on my legs and Dye on my arms. Works wonders for me, I'm not frightened of diving or sliding anywhere now

The Dye slide shorts are good. Don't restrict movement at all.

I saw the same post with the bloke who took a shot to the gonads and that was enough to convince me!

It's only a soft foam cup in the shorts but it's better than nothing at all!

Took 1 to the bell end OUCH had the round ball mark to prove it

Ouch i saw it to thats the main reason for the shorts think i will go for the dye pads as well cheers ppl

Just had e-mail from planet, took a while but they have just taken stock of 2003 j.t stuff i.e -

Sliding shorts
Elbow pads
Knee pads

Not heard a bad review about these either, all about personal preference nowadays i guess.

i play with a motocross-pants so, that saves me the jt-underwear cause it got protection on its own. for the dye arm-protection: i wear it and its cool. only thing thats whack bout it: no size really fits my arms, ill have to push some weights

MY thoughts about protection, get a mask that doesnt fog, and a condom that wont rip.

does anybody else have the problem of their nads sticking out below the foamy cup thing on their dye sliders....i can tell you it is most disconcerting, seeing as i bought them for the sole principal of ball protection!
