I would like to take a moment to congratulate Saris on a valiant attempt that appears to be falling flat. Too bad really but it's the thought that counts.

And Collier is of course wrong as I have a huge post count and my opinions are vastly more important than the rest of your puny opinions combined. Not that the two are related--I consider it merely serendipitous.

I know its going against the flow here but I've certainly seen posting for the sake of it and several queries along the line of "how many posts do I need for three stars" so clearly it matters to some people.

That said, if you try and restrict the posts on P8 only to those that are carefully considered and insightful, you won't be left with much

Myself? I just read stuff that's interesting and ignore the rest. It's easier to ignore irrelevant stuff than to say, create a completely irrelevant thread to complain about it

Pointless posting doesn't even make it into my top 100 most irritating things. Not even worth worrying about.
