Good observation about the 5k fills. They are sometimes available over here, but often they are not. 4000-4500 is typical, and that extra capacity doesn't usually do you a whole lot of good.

my point wasnt about getting 5k fills, it was more about getting a decent 4500 fill, when i get my 4500 bottle filled, i usually get about 4000psi in it, due to the heat generated etc. but if i put a 3000psi fill in the 4500 bottle, i get (near as damn it) 3000 psi, so i was thinking that if i put a 4500psi fill in a 5000psi bottle, i would probably get near 4500psi in the tank instead of the usual 4000psi

does that have any logical standing???
does it make sense!!!

ahh, I understand - no, sorry mate. The lack in pressure is because the gas has expanded from releasing it at great speed in to your bottle. As it heats up, it expands, creating a false 4500 reading. The expansion is caused by releasing the gas, not by your bottles tolerance to it, so a 5000 bottle will still have exactly the contents - ie; 4000

Sounds like your own optimism talking you into buying something, to me.;)

Still, I am guessing that 1.1 is the same as a 68 cubic inch tank, and that works for all but the heaviest shooters and the least efficient guns. You oughta be alright with that, and if you do run across a 5k fill, then bully for you.

There's something else to consider, "physical size" i borrowed a shocker with a 1.5ltr on it recently and couldn't play left handed because the bottle was just too damn big and got in the way, switched back to my 1.1 and carried on playing fine. i know you can move the bottle around to suit your style but if you don't need the capacity then why bother?
Ps, fill pressures are all to do with "pressure" and nothing to do with capacity !
