PMI bottle - removing regulator!

Right basically I cant get the regulator of my PMI/evil bottle. Its one on the standard high pressure red, round regulators.

Now my dad who’s a design engineer has tried pretty much everything. But we really can’t get it off so if there is a specific method of getting it of please share it with me!

Though we don’t have a clamp so if that is the only method then so be it but am sure there’s another way.

Also the bottle is empty!

you need to melt the loctite, boiling water or a heat gun usually work.

My dad just went for brut strength and slated American designers for 45 minutes afterwards

Yep.....

Yeah he did.... no damage to the threads just the outside of the regulator but I’ve got a new regulator to put on anyway.

Now he didn’t pull it of it was unscrewed and considering I have a new regulator (Guerrilla Assault Low Pressure) should I have any safety concerns?

make sure all the loctite is removed from the threads, make sure they are clean and thiers no crap (no idea why thier would be) in the bottle.

Then make sure ur new reg has a nice and clean oring, take 30 steps away from all lube including butter and screw your new regulator on (without loctite).


You dont need loctite as when your bottle is filled you wont be able to unscrew the regulator.

First thing LOCTITE IT BACK ON When a bottle is screwed all the way ont the valve i is vurtualy impossible to sheer off but when unscrewed a mm it it is only 50% streangth also if the ASA you screw it to has slightly oversised threads you will be able to unscrew the bottle off the reg at low preassures..

second point rather than buying a new reg why didnt u just buy the low preassure springpack?
