Sounds like your bolt is chopping -
3:11

Happens with most markers every so often, more so when using a force feed loader. However, a Primo is gravity fed.

Are you sure the breaks are chops and being pushed back into your hopper? and not breaks in the hopper.
Are you using especially fragile paint?

Since you say it is happening with a rotor, halos and a primo I'd suggest the problem is (as you suggest) with the gun (bolt) or the paint you are using.

Reset the board - assuming you got a standard board; go to the Dye/Proto website and download the PM8 manual.

if its forcing balls up into the hopper then your getting to much blow back off the bolt, tried changing some orings?
