PM6: Rattling Frame?

The actual thread of the front frame screw looks in good nick. The head has various nicks and dents, but of course that won't cause the rattling.

What does seem a little disconcerting is that as I'm tightening the allen key in the hole (go on lump, make another innuendo out of that ;)) it comes to a reasonably abrupt stop, instead of becoming progressively resistant.

Just a guess but it could be that the screws are a fraction too long, so they are bottoming out before they get chance to clamp down the frame.

Thats what happened on my ion, took me 2 minutes to file down the screws.

Dam cheap ass guns ;)

Yeah, sounds like it could be that John...I'm glad the problem lies with the screws, by far the cheapest to replace ;) (especially from Neil!).

Thanks again for the help all,

I had this issue on my DM6 for a bit.

It wasn't until i removed the frame screws and the grip screws (had them all next to each other) to notice that one was larger than the rest. i just placed this into the back frame screw ...thing.. and the rattle went. forever :)

But still on occasion, after a rough days play, they begin to get a little play in them, so just tighten them up, and there as good as gold for the next month or so.

This is the UL frame though, which is thinner/smaller than the stock PM6, so the above might end up being completely irrelevant, but just give it a try anyway :D

anyway fella, we've got a new training site in the pipelines, I'll fill you in when it get's completed, but it'd be great to see you down again :)...bring blondie too.

On the PM6 the front and back frame screws are completely different lengths...Think I'll leave it until the new ones show up ;)

Good to hear about the training site, reasonably close to the old one I hope? Or nearer me would be even better :D
