As Chris says sometimes it happens sometimes it doesn't, same thing as when you are typing a post or reply and you make an error and you backspace the letter and then it starts to overwrite the rest of the passage...doesn't always do it and sometimes when it does happen if you typed it all correct the first time you don't know that it is playing up. the one thing I would like to see returned is the ability to uncheck the box to show signature so as it is now to not show your pic sig you can only choose to do that if you post a reply and then go into edit post...the only reason for this is that it is good ettiquette to only post your pic signature the once per page of the thread...little like caps lock gets people all irate lots of reply post with the pic signature can slow things down for the poor mortals on dial up...I'm not on dial up but lots still are. Text sigs I feel are ok (only if they are just a couple of lines long not some of the essays that quite a few people have ;)) but it is the pic ones that clog it all up.

About the over-writing, are you sure that isn't the accidental pressing of the "insert" key? That'd do it, if you find it happening, try pressing it again and it should stop.

I ain't that bad a typist ;) as I said it doesn't always happen and also when the forum reply is acting up if I have typed with no errors (to me that is) you won't always notice it.
