I didn't go this year but last year there was a pretty heavy police presence due to the fair that was happening across the field. I know they were constantly wandering around the car park.

But if the stuff was stolen from the players area then that raises some pretty serious worries - either security was not as good as it should have been or players are nicking kit, which is sad.

It's difficult to allocate blame to the security guys. I was standing by the players area gate for a good couple of hours on Sunday and with the amount of foot traffic going through it's simply not possible to recall who went in with what bag etc. However, I can tell you that I didn't see anyone get in without a wristband, not that it counts for much.

Basildon isn't the most nicest of places, its just a like a mini London, On my way home on Saturday night, i saw around 6-7 kids with big bags of paintballs, they wasn't ones that had been picked up from the floor either, they were actually fully bagged. Tomahawk stuff. They were chucking them up against the the parks swimming pool windows and so on.

Then Sunday morning, on my way to the event i saw around 4-5 kids in tracksuits with there hoods up with a bag of pots, and more paint.

Sorry to hear about peoples stuff being stolen, Hope it turns up, or you get it sorted.

I feel sorry for the people that came from abroad and had to put up with these kinda problems.

Wes.
