when you say playing on, do you mean that they knew they had been hit, looked at it behind a bunker, and carried on playing, or it wasnt in a self check area and didnt ask for a check, or was it while running thru for a bunker and carrying on making sure they got their man?

the first example, very serious, and is almost as bad as wiping, they are just waiting for a marshall to call them out

second one, not too serious, thats about honesty and getting a marshall to check you, which most players will always do. if you are hit, you go, but for all you know, it bounced.

third example, this is what all players should do. if you go on a mugging run, you should always make sure you get your man. no matter if you get hit, you arent going to look down, stop, and walk off during the run, always assume they bounced until you make the kill, then get checked. the only time you should ever stop is if you get hit right at the start of your run, however if you are near your opponent, you make the bunker and get the kill, its then down to the marshall to make the call.

yet again a controversial post, but the third example is done by a huge percentage of players at all levels.
if its the others

Mostly the 3rd and some No. 1's (Not wiping but trying to hide it)

True, sometimes you do not notice when you get hit and got hit on my mask myself, self checked, but the impact was not where the gloob was so played on until called out. But getting hit on the leg and turning into a bunker to hide it?

A long mugging run, hit however many times and got however many breaks carried on to mug the last man (Who should be in still), so argues with the ref giving time for a second player to mug him out... that team I both watched do it and was on the reciving end of... still way out played us... just is not called for.

Having said that, I can see the imperitive having been pepered and called myself out only to find no breaks... but I feel that certain people were using it as a tactic.

what i really hate, is when u see someone run, so you shoot at them, hit them, and then they dive, and of course, when the marshall checks, its gone, i just dont see why people feel the need to cheat, sometimes, i still call myself just by feeling a hit, which i really shouldnt do as its a disadvantage to me

Are you supporting players who go on a mugging run and keep going after feeling hits? Surely, if your taking hits that's not much of a mugging run anyway (hardly outmanouvred the opposition have you), but I sure as hell wouldn't be happy if I was mugged by a player with hits on him.
If you feel hits, then you are required to get to check yourself, or call for a check. You're allowed to make cover (otherwise you'll get lit up) but carrying on after feeling hits is "playing on" unless it hits you and you can see it didn't burst.

alrite, i'll narrow it down a bit, say its a 2 on 1, one guy going down each side of the opponent, hes firing at one, and hits him, comes round when you are say 10-15 metres away and goes for you.
if you feel a hit, are you gonna stop, and walk off?

i doubt very very much any of the players on here would.

a guy i know who has gone very far in the game told me that he and any other player would and should do this.

ok you know you've been hit, but firstly you dont know its a break, and secondly, you want to make sure the judges have gotta make a decision.

and im positive nobody would be happy if they were tagged by someone with a hit on them, but it happens.

can anyone find a definition of playing on? coz as i see it, you dont know you have been marked, so arent playing on. playing on is knowing you have paint on you from a shot

If you feel a hit and keep going, it's playing on. there ya go. it's your responsibility to self check or call a marshall. You can get to cover to ensure you don't take any more hits, but that's it.
It's to prevent a player from doing what you describe..... continuing to move when he knows he's hit to force the marshal to make a decision i.e. forcing a one on one decision, when in fact you were out first.
If you are 10 metres away from me and take hits, but keep coming, then I'd hope most marshals would penalise you and your team.

Daz, I experienced this too and it really pisses me off, on one occasion on sunday a guy rang to mug a back player but was shot before he got there, and he went on to mug the player, the ref said they shot at the same time but there was at least a few seconds between...also a guy ran to the snake type setup, got hit before getting in, then when he next popped up he was clean, other players told me things such as shooting someone on the pot, then a second later the hit gone, think he said he twisted the pot around, its just not on
