I thought shipping costs were determined by the carrier charges not by the retailer. If the carrier Planet use offer them a good, reliable service at a higher charge than other operator, then I would use them. Would you risk you new £1300 marker with a cheaper fly by night or a reputable company that offers a consistant reliable service at a higher cost..

If you bothered to call them and ask

Any charges shown on the website are rounded 'up' on quantity to cover them, i.e if you ordered 5 sticker sets, that is gonna cost bugger all, but if you order 5 DYE 4 day Explorers, it is gonna cost a bomb. Upon ordering Planet will charge you the actual cost of shipping, if it is cheaper than stated at the time of ordering on the interweb that is what you get charged, and they leave it the same if it is more expensive. As you can see, this leaves them open to loosing money on certain orders, but due to the spectrum of kit they sell, they cannot put a shipping cost on every single item.

This is the way it was explained to me, Planet, please dont shoot me if I got it all wrong ;)

yeah i think we all know that ALL shipping companies charge by wieght, there is know way that any web site would be able to give an acurate shipping cost.....if in doubt it only takes 2 mins to pick up the phone and call planet, as a couple of people have already mentioned they are the most helpfull people i know, nothing seems to be too much trouble! and this is why they are the best at what they do...dont forget planet won an award for best custom house in the WORLD!

That would be the fabled eclipse kit bag the future replacement for my much loved (and abused) Planet Kit bag.....I can't wait either.

I'm also waiting for the eclipse Jacko pod packs, they're listed on the back of the Planet flyers but not yet available. I saw Ledzy using one at OTE and they look the mutts, but me want's blue not yellow stitching :D
