Why ban for expressing concern even if it was in a moaning fashion it was in the speak your brains section? yeah the post made me chuckle and yeah its prob happened to most of us and yeah he gets negative points against him for not naming and shaming but as a forum that represents the 'paintball comunity' and thus posts also should.
All posts aren't created equal otherwise there'd be no call for mods. YT_69 wasn't speaking his brains, he's was sniveling for sympathy and bar that, attention. And frankly it's embarrassing. The only value of the thread was as a warning to others how not to use your posting privileges.
If people start getting banned for speaking out this forum will soon die and we wont have anything to laugh or giggle at. Encouraging people to gang up on someone for speaking out is not cool and perhaps should be reserved for the playground, may be funny in the short term but if people get scared of posting through fear of ban this forum is gonna become a very boaring place. just my 2 cents.
Nobody is being banned for speaking out, just like nobody is being banned for their inability to spell the Queen's english. If either or both of them receive a temporary ban it is, in fact, a kindness because then all and sundry who had the misfortune to follow these threads will accept that due chatisement has been meted out and everyone will forget about it. Otherwise YT and Yaris will continue to be poster boys for some of the worst qualities widely observed in paintballing.
The real problem is that nobody has anything at all of consequence to say.
I vote YT should name and shame or suffer public flogging lol but im not voting that either should be banned as I dont agree with BOTW.
Perhaps you ought to change your forum name to Madame DeFarge.
BOTW was designed to allow your beloved community the opportunity to assist in policing itself because while you can mostly post whatever you want there remain things that probably shouldn't be posted. And that no sensible person wants to read.
And while I'm at it the mods ought to select one of their own for a temporary ban who participated in this utter nonsense (or failed to take it in hand earlier). One of the problems of late with the forums isn't over aggressive modding, it's the lack of any real consistent sharp modding period.
