how do u get one of those picture things by your name

Right go to user settings, then go to edit options. At the bottom of the page is the avatar option. You need to have a picture which is 75 by 75 pixels ready to select in the change avatar which you can select.

Small pics

I had to cut out my head from a pic, and then squeeze it down to 75x75. Lot's of distortion, though. Honest, I don't really look like that!
