I pop into Phoenix quite regularly - usually with a marker I've screwed up or want to upgrade :D

Yankee Andy is very helpful and seems to be able to fix anything! He'll also fit your upgrades for you if your tech skill aren't up to much ;)

It's easier to get to by car than Warped (OK, so I don't know Brum too well!) and stocks a huge range. It's all very well set out, with lots of shiny things in glass cabinets.

They have Black Draguns in for a good price, but also stock Tippmans, Rebels and high end stuff.

my experience with phoenix

I bought a 2002 timmy from them. On the first attempt at gassing it up I blew the thing up. Sent it back to Andy & he fixed it for me, set the gauges & all it cost me was postage & a new (nice & small) gauge.
I would not hesitate to recommend them VERY highly.

Well thanks to all your replies i am probably going to phoenix in the next week or so. I'll have my new marker b4 xmas. I'm very happy. Its between an inferno, a black dragun and a jt excellerator really...i can't choose (thats why i'm going there!)...thanx again

i suggest black dragun..very nice to use!light and fast. a spyder clone and very good in my oppinion, my team mate has one and he gets a good rate of fire outta it (thou revvy would be advisable if you did get one or any electro in general that way the flow of paint into your gun can keep up with you)
haven't heard good things about the jt. infernos are ok but depends on whether you want an electro or a semiauto.

but try em all mate and choose you can't go wrong with doing it that way :D

jus my 2p :)

Talking about whether i want electro or semi auto raises another topic i'd never really thought about. What happens if it rains! Will the water damage an electro marker!? Also, what is the difference at this low end of the market between an electro and a semi, what exactly is electric. Thanx again...

By the end of this thread i'll know soooo much :D

i have also used both pheonix and the warped shops both are very helpfull and you wont go far wrong.

if you still havent chosen a marker if you have a chat to paul parks at warped and there something you like i think he has some kind of range were you can give it a quick test to see if its what you want.
but like i said i think not 100% sure on the test you would need to have a chat with paul parks:D

hope this helps a little:D

in crude terms ech time u pull the trigger on a semi it will fire a ball. an electro will be a semi as well. the diff between them is cockers and the like use complicated timeing with rods, sears and the like to manual make a gun a semi and electro use electronics and solenoids to do it. there are a good slection of both types to buy.
as far as the rain question goes we play in scotland so if rain damaged them we would never get a game in! obviously do try and keep them as dry as possible though.
one thing to consider before u buy though is that you might be better served buying a nearly new second hand marker as this will allow you to get a much better quality higher end marker for the same sort of money. there are normally decent deals to be found in the classified section on both this and other sites and a few of the shops now seem to do pre owned as well.

If memory serves me correctly Phoenix were doing a starter package with the black dragun where you got the marker, 20Oz Co2 bottle, hopper and a couple of pots for I think it was £165 but give em a call or as you said pop in :)

Sean m8,bit of advice you'd get more for you're money and a better marker buying 2nd hand, try the classifieds on this forum or Ebay.
If you must buy new buy something you won't need to upgrade in 3 months .For about £300 you can get a new WGP `cocker all it needs is a bottom line and tank and you're away PLUS you can upgrade it when you can afford it:D
