Assumed answer NO

Sounds open bolt to me unless the barrel match was good....
so its open bolt because no balls fell out unless the paint/barrel match was good in which case it could be closed bolt.

Why is this, did it chop? The video you have, sure it now allows us to see something that was rumoured to be just a computer mock up and a fake model, but site markers fire with a much more impressive fire rate. The other players who shared the bunker of the guy who was in the video sure were ripping the trigger on their markers ...maybe the wrong person was testing the marker...I did see on your site that you say that you weren't allowed to open it up but if you can't rip on it (at least the video shows that is wasn't) and you can't open it up to see if it was a open or closed bolt (like that would actually matter) was it not rather shortsighted to release a video that clearly wasn't showing the marker in any kind of good light.

No, the gun did not break a ball all day. It shot great, and never a chop.
We were told from the begining, we were not allowed to take the gun apart. However, I did not take the gun apart, but I saw it when it was taken apart. It is quite a feat of engineering, and very well put together.
was it not rather shortsighted to release a video that clearly wasn't showing the marker in any kind of good light.
Er... it would be I guess If I worked for Smart Parts, and frankly, i dont see how this video shed a BAD LIGHT on the gun in any way. It was filmed during a game against my team, I just told the camera man to keep the video on frank. That is how he played the game, and they won, so I guess he played it right. He was shooting for acuracy that game, not volume. They have other video where he and others were smoking with it. That will be shown very soon, so as for the "Bad Light" comment, well,
use one for yourself and then tell us what you think. Because every person there that shot it, EVERY PERSON, loved the gun.
That puts it in a "good light".
and NO, I, my team, the website, all of us have no affiliation with smart parts. we call em as we see em. I loved the gun
If I hated it, i would have said so.

The video I have of the gun ripping is a close up shot, and we were specifically told not to take close up shots of the gun, either with still or video cameras. It had a HALO B mounted to it, and despite not having a vision system on it, it never chopped. The player using the gun for the majority of the video is Frank Connell, a Philidelphia American, so the competency of the user shouldn't be in question. The person in the Scott mask at the end of the video is Lance, aka "Anglacon" in this post. Lance is used to using a 2001 Shocker with a stock trigger, so he wasn't able to rip on it like our Front Player John, who uses a lightly customized Dark Angel. As for the video with your desired rippage, that'll become available later this week, since the gun will be in Chicago, and everyone with a video camera and a website will find a way to get video of the gun going nuts. We're simply honoring Mr. Connell's request that no closeups of the gun go out until later this week.

As for whether or not the gun is being shown in a good light, I'll leave that judgement to you and others who've gone to our site and watched the video of the gun in action. The fact remains that we got it first, so if nothing else, you're able to form an opinion as to the gun's performance earlier than you would have otherwise. As for the players we had, Robbo and Lambini weren't available on short notice, so we did the best we could with what we had.

Right I will answer as it would appear I was saying...from your answers that it made the new Shocker appear bad....not what i meant...honest. Affialation or not to Smart Parts if you release something for review then let it be used and seen to be used, You used it and say that you were able to rip on it...well, as you currently don't have the "release permissions" for that, would an editorial been a better way to review the marker, ok this "was" done before and the accusations of the marker being a non-functioning model appeared so perhaps you were wanting to avoid that accusation by showing the video. The video other than showing that it wasn't a non-working model didn't show/prove any of the online claims to speed or even accuracy (accurracy is a personal percieved thing think about cocker owners and their wild claims ;) ) I do understand that Smart Parts do need to test their products in the real world but this was more of a whimper than a no holds barred bang. Think how WDP did things with the Speed, there were a few rumours of a "new" marker and a lot of silence from them and their service outlets...then bang it was out and doing the "do". The annoucement from Smart Parts was made some time ago and the first "real" look at the product was your video...I guess you shouldn't shoot the messenger but well I did...sorry :(

ahh.....

You used it and say that you were able to rip on it...well, as you currently don't have the "release permissions" for that,
Ah, i see where you are comming from. Let me explain a little better.
Do we have video of this gun ripping? you bet we do!
Will we post it?
you bet we will!
Why havent we posted it yet? Because a friend of mine asked BEFORE we even touched the gun not to release close up pics of the gun, or take it apart. Why did he ask that? Because he told his friends he would not let the gun be "Dissected".
His definition of "dissected" might not be smarts parts definition. Any restrictions were imposed on us by a friend, not Smart Parts.
And I gave my word to a friend, so that is why it is not up yet.
when will it be? Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, because wednesday, everyone else will be able to see it. We are just giving you a sneak peek. enjoy it and make of it what you will!

Mark:

We do have other video of the Shocker that will be released in the very near future. We are respecting the requests of Smartparts at this time.

Additionally, the reason you didnt see Frank "ripping" with the Shocker is because he was playing against a bunch of new players and didnt want to scare them off the field.

The Shocker is a VERY fast gun.

There will be more video of it up in the very near future, so stay tuned.

3 more pictures

Okay, so they're not as questionable as I initially thought...

"Primo" Pete trying the '03 on for size. Please note that no tiny children were bunkered during the course of taking pictures. Later in the day became the first person ever to be bunkered by an '03 Shocker...that's what he gets for wearing a wifebeater to practice!

Lance, the team captain...for reference, Lance is 6'4", 240#, so the gun looks somewhat smaller in his hands than it does in Pete and my hands.

And finally me, with a stupid look on my face. IIRC, I think someone had asked me a question and I was trying to formulate an answer. I'm 5'10", 180#, so I'm a little more normally sized than Lance, hence the gun doesn't look like such a toy in my hands.
