Hmmm, I thought the coverage was a bit poor. Respect to Joe Carter (who I talked to on the day), I know it's a tough job, but if it were me, I would have been up at the front lines , seeing it all first hand, not hearing the sound of distant 'gun fire and watching the Mercs wander back into base.
Plus with the 600+ photos taken on the day, why were the ones printed so dark ?
And what happened to the rumoured Brit "Joe Schmoe" ( or should that be "Joe Bloggs":D )

You can't be too harsh mate, I mean - we were playing in the forest, with about 90% canopy cover!
I thought some of the fotos were pretty good, no big action packed firefight scenes, but lots of variety.
I liked the smoke one, although yes, a bit dark.
But hey - with the photos used, and some of the scenes captured, they're the kind of photos that would get people interested in wanting to participate the next time.

At least I would anyway (If it didn't actually play). I'm mean, come on - the first main pic shows some great clear forest terain on a beutiful day (which is was), with the sun creeping through the gaps. - Looks like a great setting.
Then you've got the mercs, looking all very cunning and organised in their platton - 'cool, they've thought of some neat stuff' you think - yes that foto is dark too- but you've got more greeny/brown/black shrubbery than you can shake a herring at!! :D
And then the smoke bombs - well hey, they were even coloured! It's exactly the kind of thing that would intrigue non players and even those who missed the event.
I'm sure that this was one of the main objectives of the article too, apart from obviously letting those yanks know were not incapable of gathering a rabble of 650 players together - even if they can get 2000, they always have to be bigger and better don't they!! :D
Anyways, later :)

Mother, is that you?

kin nora... ****in brits hey.

As for Schmoe... Dark mate, I offered personally to give £100 and a page edit... what response do we get? Nout. Cos you're all too ****in mighty at complaining and soft as balls at doing anything about it. 'If it were me...' Jesus.

Hey, remember all that bollox about pgi not covering brit events; all those promises made of reviews and a section posting up on the web... what've we got? **** all. And that about sums Britain up. Why the f do we bother?

Manning, get me outta here.

Dang...beat me to it.

I was talking to Mr Big, an he told me young Joe had been in tha job four days before heading up to the big game by himself...he knew no-one there and he got stuck in, talked to people and got four Brit pages in tha mag. Doubt he'll bother again, I wouldn't...

You Brits may have no game, but if there was a World Cup for whining and then sitting on your ass doing **** all, you'd win hands down every single time.

Firstly, I've gotta defend my mate Darkwerks, he DID write a story covering the North vs. South game. When he called PGI about it he found that you guys already had someone covering it, I was just givin' him a hard time. Sorry, Andy;) .

As far as everyone else over there, that's on you, Matt. :)

Mr Manning, sir... if what you say about Mr Dark is correct, then I shall eat a tiny slice of humble pie. Perhaps Mr Dark should put his pen where is mouth is and then we can read the 'alternative big game'.

In the meantime, how's your cock?

As I recall, you offered this to the Northern monkey who got the most confirmed Southern kills, so I didn't stand much chance of that, did I?
You may read my article if APG or Paintball magazine prints it.
Contrary to Manning's assumption, I didn't call PGI, as I had met Joe Carter at the Game and knew PGI had the event covered.
All I'm saying is that the photos weren't the ones I would have chosen. Having looked through the vast number on Andy Critchlow's pages, there were some excellent action shots, and many that showed up a lot clearer than those used in PGI.
I'm very grateful that you made the effort to print anything about the day, , sincerely, thank you all. I agree that the article and pics would certainly pique the interest of anyone who wasn't there.

and how is your cock Jason?
