Air.......

I know it'd made of plastic spoons blah blah blah... but get an Ion and a scuba tank with a din air fill. This will eliminate the probs you having with air fill at site. Do bulk fills from site and top up to 3000psi from your tank.

By all second hand and you should be able to get the lot for about £250. (2nd hand Ion = £100, 2nd hand scuba tank £70-ish, 2nd hand Din air fill £30, New PMI 0.8L 3000psi air system from LPS. £50)

And Tris, you should visit more sites. This will dramatically increase your experience of paintball and therefore improve your game, and you will also get to meet lots of different people who will I'm sure gladly pass on lots more tips. It's working for me mate! :)

PM if you want any help if you decide on an Ion.... Despite what people can say about an Ion, they do indeed rip.... :D

I'd like to try a few other sites out some time, so if you need a lift I don't think you're too far from me?

Also, you're welcome to try my Ion out on the range next time if you like. I'm sure you could try some of the others too, A5's etc.

Sounds like a plan, do I hear paintball road trip? :p lol :D

I think I'll get an Ion, I was really trying to avoid going for a bog standard marker and wanted something more personal, but hey it will do me for now :D

I'll face facts and go look for air prices, as most markers dont take CO2.

Cheers for the help all :D

I think you could use CO2 on an Ion, but you'd have to keep your bps down, and fire in short bursts. An anti-siphon would be a must.

Co2 kills Ions

I have heard a lot about how Co2 can affect fast firing electro markers... and basicaly it freezes them.

Sooo.....If you want to kill your Ion... use Co2 in it.

Also, it woud be a shame to have a fast bps marker such as an Ion then to limit the firing rate cos your scared you might freeze the circuit board.

Why take the chance?
Use air in your Ion!
Unleash the beast!! (meow)

Edit: My 100th post by the way.. woo hoo!! (?)
