Its actually 17 until you can buy or rent a marker. You have to be
14 or over to be given one as a gift. Its a £5000 find and/or up to 6 months in nick if anyone sells/rents a marker to someone under 17 and a $1000 fine for giving a marker to someone under 14.

Thanks Crom. Wasn't sure about the age stuff, but thought someone would come up with the right answer if I was wrong. I'm going to have to take some lessons from Hotpoint on all the legal stuff to do with PBall soon, though I do know much of it now.

thats good plus bad, in America it is 18 till you can buy a marker and it is bad because i still cant rent one and im 16 (but i dont know if thats even true)

Technically, your not the one renting the marker. When you go to a field (in the US anyway, I'm not sure about overseas), if your a minor you need a parent/guardian signature anyway (you can get away at most fields with someone who can prove their an adult). The field technically rents the marker to them, who in turn allows you to use it.

And I'm not sure about the 18 years to buy equipment either. The only place I've ever been carded for equipment is wal mart, but its store policy to not sell specific stuff to minors (ie R rated movies, 17+ videogames, paintballs, etc).

Thats a load of crap, im 15 and i can hire a gun, i have my own aswell.

14 - 12 u need parental consent, 14 - 18 nopt alowed pyro's, 18 + anything goes except full auto etc.

The law may be different in scotland but that is the law in england.
