The way to avoid all phishing scams is to read and do the email exactly how they say, but instead of clicking on the link type the paypal address into the URL yourself. :)

When I log into my PayPal account it is telling me I am getting close to my limit and I need to answer some questions to prove I am not laundering money
I havent bothered cause I cant be arsed. Anyone else having this when they log in?

Same as the rest of the lads....I've also had to do this procedure a few times. All you have to do is pick up the phone and verify yourself via a security number if I remember right.

I was a bit concerned when I got the email but after reading something Lump wrote it rang a few bells and I just got on and did it. The most important thing to check is that your browser has the 'padlock' thingy when your on the 'official' paypal site before you enter any details etc (also that it is www.paypal.com and NOTHING else)

Web access to the masses in Nigeria etc is the problem.

Anybody see the program the other week where they exposed the chaps in Africa that prey on the lonely people looking for love on subscription dating sites?

It is shocking the amount of people that get roped into sending five or six figure sums across the Western Union abyss.

I am sure there are people that reply with credentials to the spoof Ebay / Paypal emails every second of every day. Once in a while the robbing low lifes get something like an Ebay account that sells high value items yet has been inactive for a while and they con many people very quickly for a lot of cash.
