i know it dont look much, but it has a dm4 equaliser inside, all polished internals and lightened bolt.

the reason for doing this gun was spare bits laying around after b2k3.5 trayless was built

best way would be take out all electronic stuff so its just what needs paintin, mask upp all the holes and whatever dont need paintin then get a real fine wet and dry sheet and rub it just so its quite rough to touch then spray water on it should wash away the excess dust, thus given a smooth touch but also provides a base for which any primer will stick to then do what you want

Custom paint a clear hopper to match the frame, red rhino bottle cover and then leave it alone.
Looks sweet enough for a project and don't forget that people pay extra to have that look on their ego's?
Strange?

u all so kind,

the trigger on these is awesome wen set right, and coupled with the dm elecs, really rocks. it runs at about 60 psi on the lpr and bounces off balls, and has eyes to boot.

i have modded the ram to increase flow and the hammer to be very light, and the valve spring is even a lighter one, this means very little kick.

i think if i had red eye covers i would be happy with it.

so far this is made from spares and time and patience.(and a bko which i buggered up b4)

one day ill do a vid of it in action

that is one sweet muppet mower.

i will give it a go soon, just low on funds at mo, prob be new year now. trouble is where i live doesnt seem to be ne teams about.

so im stuck on rec ball at minute.

i never used to like egos cause they seemed to be impy/bushy knock off, but then i realised most guns are now in one way or another, but they are very light, + plannet are normally very good in service dept, and nice guys to boot

Its difficult to say many guns are clones of others, mainly because there are really only a few Method's of cycling. Ie Bi tube & tri tubed ram/hammer assembly, or a spin off from these is the independant valve system which is used in closed bolt markers, , Otherwise there is a spool valve like in the matrix. then you have the rare blow forward design like on the Xmag and the freestyler but there not so common.

So in theory the bi tube ram assembly which is the most popular you could say the , Ego, bushy, impy, Timmy, Etc are all clones of each other - but lets be fair - there not ;)

having owned dm, cocker, spyder, bushy, timmy, shocker, i agree wif u scars, not all same, although same principles. i think what i didnt like the most is the fact plannet dont accept the fact that an ego is not an original marker(imho), ok its light fast and accurate, hell its a great gat, but not original.

im liking the ego these days having played with one, pricipals aside now in recognition for a great gat, every one else cant be wrong can they

as a big icd fan, i just wish the promaster and freestyle would get their dues as the gats they are. shame they never took off over here, as they are huge in the us

hi there. if you really really want to paint it then look at my paws on my nd timmy which i did. i first rubbed into the anno with wet/dry and degreassed with washing up liquid (fairy is the best you can get for degreassing stuff) then buy hammerite special finishes aluminium coat primer from a diy shop then hammerite paint in choice of colour, keep applying until its completely coloured. this on mine hasnt scratched or chipped at all and if it does just touch it up.

good luck

danny.

:)

p.s. i take no responsibility for any cock ups or paint job not working.:)
