i need to paint a frame, i cant justify anno as it is a project marker, but i was wandering if ne1 knows of a good undercoat suitable for aluminium, or is it ok to just use car primer.

wouldn't reccomend painting, but if you have to try an etching primer or one designed for newish VW's as they are aluminium panels.
thanks for the help guys, i only need to anno 1 frame a trigger and a lpr housing, i cant justify 50+ for it, as it is only project of very little value
If its a project just leave it or cover it in stickers - alluminuim is a greasy metal and most paints will just chip away so easily
trouble is the body etc is dust black and the trigger frame trigger and lpr is red, it looks ok but i would prefer all in black
if its just a project...then it`ll not matter what colour it is...
