Paintcheck The Boardgame

cool im gonna start writing the rules over the next few days dont worry about a board or playing pieces but if anybody can draw, some cool illustrations wouldnt go amiss, also i need somebody to draw me some paintball players standing crouching and laying down! 2 or each in two different colours and i will convert them into playing pieces (for all those of you who dont actually have a copy of paintcheck!) hmm im thinking an interesting event card deck for when you mess up your snake dive roll (hopper smashes for instance, oh hold on its me that does that in real life )

A 'new' set of rules sounds a brilliant idea. Means I didn't waste my £35 in the first place.

Just make sure you base them on the Millennium rulebook :p.

Think I'll get started on paintball monopoly .

EDIT : Idea for some 'problems' - forgot to turn hopper on, chop in breech, flat batteries, trip over bunker peg, ref sneezes and misses call, shot in back by own team mate, caught wiping, marker bounces and gets you -50, etc. etc.

rule ideas

nice ideas man i will get that into motion over the next few days! i already have ideas some ideas to mess the other team up! you will have 2 event cards at the start or the game and you draw one at the beginning of each turn! now during you opponents turn you can play said cards and screw his plans up completely! hehehe im gonna make it well frustrating as well as good fun!:D

Ok I dont know the scale of it, but you can get the jist

Its done on a turn by turn baisis

Players can only move 3 inches per turn if back, 4 if mid, 5 if front, All players can move in 1 person turn, but to 3 inches maximum.

No shooting allowed in either players first turn, unless in back possition, however number of shots is halfed, numbers rounded down.

To shoot you must have line of sight of the other player you are shooting at, each player can only shoot either 5 times if back, 4 times if mid, or 3 times if front.

Back players hit on a roll of a 6 on a 6 sided dice
Mid on 5+
Front on 4+

If a player is in the open, you gain 1 extra diceroll against them per player designated to shoot at them

For every hit the defending player rolls a dice, on a 4+ the hit bounces.
On a 1-3 it breaks and player is removed.

On the first move both players roll their backs as all players beng in the open.

Ie player 1 moves his Front players the 5 inches into a bunker
His mids 4 but in open ground. and his backs move into possion in 3 inches

On the first turn his backs shoot at the other team, which would all be in the open, so he rolls 5 times + 1 for being in the open, divided by 2 as its the first turn, so each back gets 3 shots.

Saying he has 2 backs he rolls 6 dice, 3 of them are a 6, meaning 3 hit.

The other player then rolls 3 dice, 2 roll 5, 1 rolls 3.
The defending player then removes 1 player.

Both players move their players into possition, within the distance limit, they then Roll or agree who gets first turn and the game realy starts

Simple enough ^.^

...and of course it is going to be a give-away in an upcoming copy of PGi .

As for advice on equipment cards - make it as general as possible - don't use brand names - just things along the lines of...

Starter cards - pump - gravity fed hopper - co2

Extra's - semi then electro - electronic hopper (with different capacities) - air (various tank sizes and psi) - etc. etc.

Oh - did I say DON'T USE BRAND NAMES. Saves on all the 'legal' fees ;).
