I don’t do airsoft but am on a couple of forums and am active on one.
We have run some of our events in airsoft versions
I don’t abuse them as I’ll recognise them as a similar hobby
I have seen posts every now and again complaining that they discover that a site also runs paintball.
Other than they might get dirty in the woods by leaning on a bunker that has some old paint residue, they have not managed to tell me why a game zone designed for one kind of shooting each other is unsuitable for a different kind of shooting each other.
I did have a conversation once at one of our events regarding airsofters who were ‘really tactical’ and wanted us to run our scenario to have a more interesting game then capture the base, getting sad that our storyline objectives using multiple areas were too complex compared to basic shoot and capture
