Well my Ego got blown up when the reg on my tank failed and it still worked
Doesnt mean just Egos bend, Im sure any marker would if you landed on it wrong

it's like a car is designed to crumple. the frame twisting stops the asa sheering off and becoming a rocket. and yes it is light too.
