This is the key to your defence the word "frangible" - everytime I contact the HO I get the same response. (until some idiots shoots up a shopping centre and a few customers then it will be different)

I think that the Firearms board are eating to many Toffee Crisps
In the middle of June I sent off for my Shotgun licence renewal. I had my reciept back for the £40 check sent, and was going abroard at the end of the month. I phoned Stafford Firearms board up to let them no that I would be away, incase they were going to do a house check. The office said they were about 10 weeks behind in aplications as they were putting all the details onto a National data base and had to learn the new system.
12 weeks later I phoned again to ask what was going on and was told they were very busy and would just renew it without putting it to the board and if I was desperate for it they could send a tempory one, incase I wanted to buy, sell a gun or buy shells.
Tempory!!!!????
About the same time there was a police chief that left the force because of the escolating gun crime and was on a morning TV progarame saying that there was about 100,000 - 200,000 known illegal guns in this country and it was rising at an alarming rate.
My point in this rant is, that yes there is a small magority of clowns with markers, but the real problem is to go for the idiots on the street and not in a recognised sport. It's wasting to much time and money jumping on us for the wrong reasons, when the system they have can't track the reall guns they know about.

That's a fair point but it's the same thing that always happens
They "DON'T KNOW" where the illegal ones are so the only thing they can do is to clamp down on the legal ones, so as to be seen to be doing something.
Besides where do all these 200,000 illegal guns come from?
80% will be from house thefts and sales from responsible people to muppets. How many people on here have sent a marker to a newbie on the forum, once a pile of dosh landed in their paypal account? because of course everyone does a security check, checks their of legal age, or turns down a sale "just in case"
I've raised this point before and that sooner or later someone will hose down a bus load of nun's or children with a "TOY", paintball gun and the day that happens we will all become "hardened criminals" by association with the sport and basically we should lube ourselves up for a good ar$e raping .........it'll happen one day
