Paintball shouldn't become a mainstream sport because it'd be like having crack as a mainstream drug. It will always be reserved for a minority of strange people who are labelled as "weird" and who beg for change to fund their habit.

Gone crazy, back soon...
Lets face it, Paintball isn't about to be televised anytime soon.

I'd settle for a 5 minute slot on Trans World Sport. Have you seen the **** sports they cover? :p

There are some other minor problems.....not sure cost is one of them though....you ever played golf?

As for becoming mainstream or not, I fervently wish it would but I don't think it ever will....well maybe not in this country....the image with Joe Public is wrong....change that and maybe we have a chance:)

The Paintball Association
If Paintball gets classified as a sport will shows etc. be made?

How do we get it classifed as a sport?

Well so far,

Six years

Over three thousand emails

Over £1900 in postage

A fortune in phone calls

And what must be over 8000 man hours (all unpaid)

A £25,000 loan

And a marriage

And the Sports Council have just said no again, but at least this time we did make headway.

The Paintball Association
did they give a reason?
They agreed that we meet all the criteria required so in that respect we have made headway.
The only stumbling block is another organisation is also trying for the same thing.
I do not think they actually want anything to do with paintball as a sport, they have concerns with the UKPSF and are just trying to protect themselves from a purely business perspective.

I hope once I manage to assure them we have nothing to do with the UKPSF and more importantly from their standpoint the UKPSF has nothing to do with the Paintball Association we may develop a situation that is good for everyone.

would that other organisation happen to be the UKPBA? otherwise known as delta forces own governing body? where the members are all punters who do not even know that they are members of this UK PaintBall Association?
