Mature Newbie - 24th September 2006

I am considering going to this one as my first walk-on with my newly acquired 2nd hand equipment. None of it has been used in anger by myself yet, and I'm still learning with regards to the technical aspect of my equipment regarding correct setup etc.

I don't want to make a complete arse out of myself and hoping to get good support and advice on the site. Don't want to be treated special like, just want to get the most from the day, so can anyone tell me what it is like?
