Paintball is too fragmented right now, and probably always will be, to be included in any kind of organized or structured sporting competition. Which paintball exactly would we be playing for the X-Games? X-ball? 7 man? 5 man? 10 man? Who's rules do we play by? NPPL? WPL? NXL? Millenium? As soon as we can decide which game professional paintball is, which rules it will played by, and which body will govern it, it will never be recognized as an "organized" sport, and in all honesty, it really isn't. That's not to say I don't love the game and all, but until some level of standardization can be achieved, don't expect to see paintball included in the Olympics, or the X-Games or anything of the like.
