When he says sell I'm sure he just means help you get the programs, not literrally sell them for the huge amount these programs are worth.
So do we think the models are created in Studio Max and the layout in Maya. I can't see why you would need to use Maya though, and why they just do it on Studio Max. There is a program called Alias Wavefront made by the maya people that would do the job better I would say.
