Right.

I've had a response from Boris Johnson, who says that it's "A wonderful idea!"

He has no objection to it, as I pitched it along the lines of an HB event.

So the next question - where to hold it to get maximum exposure?

My view is to hold it outside the South Bank Centre, next to the London Eye - plenty of room for fields, staging etc.

Boris says that the Centre controls that area, so I have to contact them directly.

Before I do this - do you have any suggestions as to location, as I lived in London in the 80's and am a bit out of touch with things there.

Shelley Farmer has suggested Battersea - any advance on that?

before i read your own suggestion it was the london eye that sprung straight to mind. common sense dictates that if it can be held essentially 'anywhere' then it should be done as close to the big tourist attractions as possible. London eye came to me because its not just one of these things that has only one audience that visits, its everything from teenagers to pensioners. Its also a long time since i've been to the london eye but if it has the space for it nearby then i'd say that's the best place to do it.

I'm not familiar with London or it's layout. I was there twice in the 80's but i was 4 and 6 at the times.

Well done though, I'd love to be there even if only as a spectator :)

what about the Jubilee gardens right next to the eye? it's should have a lot of traffic walking up to the london eye and as well as that it's open and would probably help to draw some attention when people see it.

i take it the southbank centre would be for setting it up indoors? i'm not familiar with it...

What about parking, not just for the players, but for the vendors ? Also could we have the congestion charge fee included in the entrance fee ;)
