Yeah, i have to say get the '300 fps' some wicked moves and a funny fight at the end for which one of the offending party is clearly in the wrong....but you'll see for yourself.

just dont get a Traumahead sports one because the comentator is so fcuking annoying you'll be flogging it the day you bought it.
ive seen a NPPL Super 7's one that was quite good, it had dynasty, ton-tons, bushwackers and a few others.

..............Rich ive just been shot, come wipe me down quick!!!!...............

Have the NPPL Vegas (featuring Miss NPPL contest) for sale for £10 if you are interested. Only selling as I have watched it to death! :)
The NPPL ones are good. I have both the Huntington Beach and the Vegas one. But I felt a bit peeved off at the complete lack of Miss NPPL footage. Is there some section I've missed or is it limited to the 2 or 3 shots of them walking around for 2 seconds? Literally I can only find about 2 seconds of footage :(

There were two cuts of the DVD, one with Miss NPPL footage, one without ;)

Having said that, if you need a Miss NPPL contest to get your jollies, you should probably get out more ;) :D

I should really get round to doing that pile o DVD reviews I've been planing to do for you lot. Ah well, here a mini selection.....the vids I own.

Push: One of the first PB vids that I saw and i still break it out occasionally, it really is that good. I've only seen the VHS version but I've heard good things about the bonus footage on the DVD. It's a bit dated these days but well worth a view to see a bit more into the lives of the top players a few years ago. Game footage is all shown in a stylised manner with music and video effect but all handled in a skilled manner. Don't expect wall to wall game footage but do expect to be entertained.

Sunday Drivers: From the same makers as Push and is basically more of the same but a bit more up to date. Like it's predecessor it's an excellent video to just sit back, chill out and watch. Again it centres on the players and their lives and experiences playing in the top tournaments during the 2001-2002 season. Game footage is shown in a similar manner as Push and there are many interviews and behind the scenes stuff. There is a good retrospective on the History of the Ironmen which is backed up by footage of Ollie Lang crying, awww.

Toulouse 2002: A good dvd, which is very well put together with nice menus and a good cross section of content. A good dvd to show to those who don't know much about the sport as it is easy viewing and a lot of time is spent explaining how things work. Game footage is ok, not incredible but still good to watch. A lack of cameras and large fields don't do any favours for viewer's trying to follow the games. The narration on the the disk is let down by some horrendous scripting that has blatantly been translated from French, the guys intonation makes me piss myself laughing sometimes. Still, it's a well rounded watchable DVD.

NPPL Huntingdon Beach 2003: Pretty damn awesome dvd, great game footage, fantastic presentation, excellent commentary. Very easily watchable and awesome for showing to people who don't really know much about paintball, games are easy to follow and the package is very well put together...BUY!!

NPPL Las Vegas 2003: Again, excellent, same style of presentation as the HB DVD. More explanation of tactics and a slicker presentation of in-game man count. It has a few niggles, unfortunately there are no chapter breaks/scene index on the dvd which means liberal use of the fast forward skip through to games. Also, The Miss NPPL bit in the midddle goes on for bloody ages, not to mention the annoying drone of Cypress Hill. If i want to look at girls not wearing much I'll use the internet or if my connection is down i may venture outside. The lack of chapter index makes fast forwarding through this chunk of the program very tedious. I'd rather the time was better spent on what i bought the DVD for, Paintball. The game commentary and explanations by Rocky Cagnoni really bring the DVD alive and with good well planned camera work show that 'ball really can be televised.

NPPL Miami 2003: I only picked this disk up fairly recently so I haven't had that much chance to watch it a few times but so far I have been rather unimpressed. It is very apparent that the footage on the disk is just a mish mash of stuff from the Fox shows and other filmed material. There is no singular 'feature' like the other two NPPL dvds, instead replying on breaking the tournament into the 3 days and the different divisions. Maybe I need to go through it again but there seemed to be a overall lack of footage compared to the other 2 dvds. I don't want to sound derogatory toward teams, but I really don't care much about seeing non pro division games. Aside from key games, footage is not presented well, with no commentary or on-screen man count. After the completeness displayed by the other 2 disks this one really left a bad taste in my mouth. Oh, and what happened to the planned Chicago & N Jersey DVDs?

720 Orlando World Cup 2003: I was really looking forward to this DVD before release, gagging to see filmed XBall. Two disks featuring over 2 hours of full length divisional XBall matches. Unfortunately the package provers that quantity is no substitute for quality. The 8 games are poorly presented, camerawork is mediocre at best, which poor placement of shots that results in games that are very tricky to follow. Also the makers have only managed to fit the '8 full games' onto the dvds by speeding up the footage in certain sections, often at very inappropriate moments just so they can time events with the soundtrack. The soundtrack is poor, I like my punk but not when it's bad punk for over 2 hours, thank god there is the option to change the soundtrack to just game sounds. There is no commentary at all on the games, which i feel is essential for XBall, or any televised sport for that matter. This lack, along with the awful use of camera angles results in games that VERY hard to follow and utterly impossible for those who aren't well versed in the sport. The much vaunted '3-D heads Up Display' serves to be a hindrance more than a use, reducing the screen size and providing no more info than what could have been provided by commentary, decent camera work and editing. The DVD has it's moments and is ok if u wanna see some XBall but I really wouldn't recommend it.

Sorry if that didn't make too much sense....it's late...I'll sit down again with all the disks and write some full reviews for you peeps if you want.
