The Gelatine is going up because of the Atkins diet and US craze for pork scratchings, and the Chinese are moving to the cities and eating more pork.
Transport costs are going up. Raw ingredients get shipped to the US/Canada (wherever) and are then shipped back as finished product.
The main ingredient in the fill, PEG, is a Oil based product so that will go up.
On the whole its not looking good.
