PA registration is open to ALL tourney players...

Ladies & Gents,

More for players who are not currently registered with the PA, but it's important to note 3 things.

1. The Paintball Association is a national organisation working to promote paintball at ALL levels across the the UK.

1. Paintball Association registration is FREE.

2. You DO NOT need to be signed or signing for an existing PA team in order to be a Paintball Association registered player.

Very shortly we'll be introducing a forum where players can put their Paintball CV on-line for team managers to look at who are recruiting new players or managers can offer players for transfer or loan for suggested "fees"

Being registered does not in any way interfere with or STOP you playing for your regular team, but it does mean that you have the opportunity to be picked up by a team playing the Motorola PA National League representing towns & cities around the UK.

Ideally we'd like EVERY tourney player in the country to get their unique player registration number which is theirs for life.

So IF you are registered and you've got mates or even just people you know who play tourney but aren't, tell them to get registered. If you're new to the sport, do yourself a favour and get registered. You never know, you could be the next Chris Edwards...

It costs nothing other than a little bit of effort on your part and can help the Paintball Association to help YOU and the sport.

actually Chris came to mind primarily because I saw him on Sunday :) ... although I do happen to think he's still one of the most inspirng players I've watched...even tho he's getting on a bit now ;)

Hopefully (if Goldy can stay awake long enough) we'll have a forum up in the next week or so.

Primarily it's designed as tool for managers to look for available signings or post players available for transfer and also for new players to be able to offer their services rather than a "Hey...looking for a game"" thread that just gets lost in the general mass of daily postings.

It also gives players a chance to get involved with a team even if they don't want to actually play. Teams still need off-field support as much as on-field skills which is something the PA is trying very hard to encourage. Bigger organisations tend to have a higher survival rate and you can support your National League team without necessarily playing at a national level. Coaches, physio skills, marketing talent, buisiness contacts, transport, logistics...all help to build a team and make it stronger.

A posting must include the following information and I'd suggest more or less in this format to keep it standardised and without huge signature blocks or ads....
