I believe he hasn't and nor have I - have you?

So then - what was it like? what did they show, how long? good/bad points? any promise of more?

Just looking for info here.

And Russ, hope you liked the T-shirt ;)

No I haven't but apparently someone is going to digitize it from a VHS copy and stick a link up on the PA forums when it's done so we can all see for ourselves :)

Well I was fortunate in that my brother was "house sitting" whilst I was away at Campaign this weekend (that's his term for drinking all my beer fridge’s empty...) and he very kindly taped it for me to watch...which I did as soon as I got home this morning...

Personally I'm very pleased with the result. The first thing that caught my attention is that in the opening titles for the programmme it runs through shots of gymnastics, cricket, show jumping, golf, god knows what else...and paintball is simply slotted in there alongside every other sport, which was rather the point of the exercise.

There's a couple of player interviews with, Guppy of Basingstoke Tsunami and Wendy Jones of the Manchester Union, team manager of Birmingham Phoenix Barry Fuggle and a brief description on the workings of a Bob Long Intimidator by Jase Ebdon, also of Birmingham Phoenix. There's also an interview with one of the PA's senior referees Nick Jenkinson and a great shot where they highlight a referee moving in to eliminate a player. You'll see what I mean when you get to watch it.

There is three featured games, Just So Manc V's Sherwood Vipers, Birmingham Phoenix V's Steel City Chameleons and Birmingham Phoenix V's Blackpool Inferno.

If nothing else, hopefully this will reinforce to players the need to put their flipping names on the back of their shirts if they want media recognition ;) :D ... Messr's Frain and Beer are both kind of easy to spot.

As an introduction it's great and the intention is to carry on building on it for next year. I know somewhere down the line someone will horribly misquote me out of all context, however I will say that on the back of this we have been told that there is a strong possibility that we can get a series of 30 minute programmes dedicated to each round The PA League for the 2005 season.

Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, but the PA will continue working towards that goal and getting UK paintball out to the masses.... and hopefully we'll all benefit from it.
