Game Format
All teams will play each other once , when all rounds have been played the 3rd and 4th highest scorers will play each other to decide Final 3rd and 4th, then the 1st and 2nd highest scoring team will play each other to decide overall 1st and 2nd.
Game time limit is 8minutes
Each team starts from their assigned coloured corner as indicated by roster. There is a flag in each unoccupied corner. To get points for a flag, you must hang it IN a tube at your start gate –the player who hangs the flag will be checked by a ref for hits and must be be clean or the flag will be returned back to the corner and your team suffers a 25 point penalty. Once a flag has been hung by a clean player they keep the points for that hang - it cannot be re-hung by the other team.
If you hang the flag clean in the other teams start gate you will award them the points!!
Players eliminated whilst carrying the flag must drop it before exiting the field. Players may not throw the flag to others; only pass it hand to hand between live players. Players must NOT conceal the flags (i.e. under / behind bunkers)
Game ends when either:
One team is completely eliminated and both flags are hung
OR the time limit is reached – whichever happens first.
When eliminated, players must raise their marker above head height or place their hand flat on their head and exit the field as quickly as possible by the nearest safe boundary line. They must then go to their assigned dead box and remain there until Refs give the all clear AFTER game over. This will prevent confusion when calculating final scores. Any attempts to mislead the judges deliberately by not moving to or leaving your team’s assigned dead box will result in penalty points at ref’s discretion.
Refs reserve the right to use penalty points and 1 for 1 through 4 for 1 rule as they deem fit. Cheating, abuse and playing on when blatantly hit will result in hefty penalties. It is each players responsibility to check they are clean and to check their team mates BEFORE each game.
