What is happening
The issue of air was a discussion topic at the recent UKPSF Site and Trade Conference and we had several speakers on the subject.
I was aware that the likes of Powerball and a German manufacture had spent a lot of time and money having their regulators manufactured to conform to CE specifications with regards to manufacture. They would not have spent the money on the CE element if they felt they did not need to. Regulations are introduced all the time and unfortunatelly as an industry we seem to find out about them when they are law so we play catch up !!
I am not an air expert, in fact I know as much as the average player, so over the next couple of weeks I will be inviting intrested parties and by that I don't mean players, I mean the producers of products and air experts to sit around a table and come up with a clear defenition of what is and what is not allowed.
I have reservation with the "new" regulators and several site owners expressed reservation at the conference - so we need to bang heads together and get a clear understanding of what is happening so that the sites and the players can conform to any regulations.
I know it is a pain to wait but nothing changes overnight - I am sure your bottles will continue to be filled at tournaments.

Seems like the most sensible approach to take IMO. Thanks for clearing that up Bully.
I guess changing every reg over to the new standard would also be a considerable cost to site owners, 200 plus air cylinders, all needing testing now would not only incur quite a large fee but depending on turnaround times the site could be left with no useable bottles for a while, eek.

On initial reading of the information I have been supplied it is the sale of the regulators that is the area of concern. Suppliers should only supply CE approved regulators.
The regulators currently on markers/bottles can still be used but suppliers can't supply non PI marked regulators. The implication could be if the person who fills your bottle will only fill CE approved regs.
