Ok a few questions to say the least and instead of multiposting I thought I would just bung em all into one thread

1) When using sup'air bunkers indoors how do you weigh them down? do you need to have hooks in the floor or do you just tie em to a couple of sandbags. If their is a specific weight or something if you could tell me where to find them I would appreciate it.

2) Does anyone know of some good easy to use masks, I was thinking along the lines of the vforce vantage field because of it using rubber instead of foam but it doesn't come with any anti fogging , so does anyone know of any masks of a similiar design but with anti fogging and also a chin strap would be a real plus.

3) I know you can get 3000psi fibre wrapped tanks but can't manage to find any online stores selling them, if anyone Knows a site I would greatly appreciate it

4) What reballs would people recommend and where can you get them, I was looking at some velcro reballs but they kinda sound as if they would scratch your barrel or other peoples lenses so info regarding that would be useful, and also on all the sights I have seen selling them they have said they can't be fired at someone less than 6m away but this would making bunkering pretty much impossible so I was wondering whether this is just specific brands or do you just have to turn the velocity down even lower to use them a close range

5) Watching some paintball videos I noticed in a few tournaments they had put down sheets of something by all the bunkers to make it easier to slide and I was just wondering what it was, where you can get it, how much it costs, what sizes can you get it in and how durable it is

6) How reliable is the ion if you get a good quality one? and also what upgrades are vital for a good performance, what tools do you need for a full repair and how many/what spares will you need to keep a batch up and running?

7) Would the viewloader revolution or viewloader Quantum be able to keep up with a stock ion or do the ions come with the ability to cap the bps so it wouldn't outshoot the hoppers

8) Just seen
this and was wondering if people think it actually saves any time and also since it apparently runs off co2 any places to just get a bottle filled at a time but if anyone knows of something like this but it works of air I would be much obliged

9) And finally (at long last :D ) what do people think of this pricing
COSTS
Items no cost each Total
Paintball markers - ions 5 £160 £800
3000psi air bottles 5 £60 £300
4 pod packs 5 £30 £150

Arm pads 5 £10 £50
Knee pads 5 £10 £50
neck protectors 12 £2 £24
Barrel socks 5 £1 £5
Revolutionary hopper 5 £15 £75
Air tank covers 5 £10 £50
Full repair kit spares oil 1 £70 £70
Air compressor 1 £1000 £1000
Dive tanks 6 £70 £420

Grand Total £4954

ok sorry if thats hard to read but pasting excel sheets doesn't work (so the numbers beside each item go no. price total price) but anyway those prices are my estimates but are slightly confusing as I have based some of the more common items (that I could get quite easily in a short time frame) prices on their second hand value and some of the less common 1st hand prices but I leave you to join the two together as I am not completely sure. Just if you can teel me which prices are wrong or overly optimistic (or pessimistic I hope:rolleyes: ) and by how much

Thanks for your patience in reading this and I look forward to all replies
thanks
Jamie

ok this wont be very detailed but will answer some questions.

1: i never used sup-air indoor but we will be soona dn i think we are useing sand bags, but i dont have any info on that sorry.

2: If you can spend that much more i would get go for some Vforce profillers, there easy to use eg. to take lenses out. there also very comfortable and wont fog up on you. (very good anti fog)

3: I have also heard off geting 3000psi Fibre bottles but would personally got for a 4500psi or 5000psi one as if you ever start playing tourne you wont get it filled as they all file higher than 3000psi

4: Ok well reballs are very hard to get hold off, i haven looked a alot but not seen many places selling them. Planet sell them for £80 for 500 and from what i no they are pretty good.

5: err.....

6: They are very good started gun and will keep up with most top guns out there. most tools needed comes with it in the box but a good allen key set is a must, also get your self some good lube like dow 33. As for upgrades depending on how your hopper sits in the feedneck i would go for a Q-lock feedneck and a QEV is good for better efficency and is quite cheap.

7: A revi (VL revolution) would be fine to use, and yes you can cap the Bps so it wont over shoot but it has eyes so it dont mater. Dont get a Quantom!

8: Never seen or used one off them but imo i think its pointless really,

9: i really dont understand any of the numbers sorry so if you could edit it with the £ signs and what not that would help.

ok edited the costs with the £ signs but it is still pretty hard to read which I am sorry about but it wont let me space them out so I'm stuck with it. If it's any help the numbers go in this order
no. of items (without pound sign) cost per item (the first number with £) and then Total cost (the 2nd one with £).
Thanks for all the posts so far and I think I will be going with sandbags I just wasn't sure so thanks about that. But regarding the choice of products price was kinda the key factor, that and the easyness to clean and how durable it is, yet I don't want 2nd rate goods as I want something that would for say as an example KOTH level team not expensive, not the best but good enough to get by. and also judging from replies I will scrap the idea of the gun cleaner lol

Getting dive tanks so I don't need to keep the compressor running as I am not sure I would be allowed by fire regulation to use the compressor inside so was planning to just keep it in garage and fill up dive tanks there, and on the 4500psi tanks again can't afford it really

1) sorry no idea

2) Jt proflex? or even a the cheaper spectra masks?

3) again sorry no idea, but why not just use a steel tank for 3000 psi

4) sorry no idea on a good reballs, but yes nearly all (if not all) reballs should be shot between 220 and 240 fps

5) it looked like ordinary plastic sheeting to me, nothing special just nice and thick, no idea of prices but ask a DIY store, i cant think why it would be anything else

6) The Ion is fantastic if you know what your doing, the 3 or 4 main upgrades are, feed neck, ASA and trigger, other than that i would say just a barrel

7) The ion has eyes so wouldnt shoot without paint in it, yes you can cap the bps quite easilly, if ya want ill provide more info on this

8) just blasts things off really, not a clue how good it is though

9) doesn’t look 2 bad, but if ya got in contact with some1 im sure they could do you a better deal

Not going to answer all your questions but heres some.

1) fill the bunker with sand don't just put them on to the rings that you normally put pegs in don't use water they will go every ware.

the cost's that you have don't seem right £1000 for a supair field if its second hand maybe, brand new times it by 4 and you are there get a decent blower as well i have been through
5 blowers this year cause i got cheep ones form b&q.

Mine cost me £245.

The compressor you said £1000 like with the sup air times it by 4

the thing with sup air bunker that if you buy cheap ones they wont last you that long so you will just have to buy more if you get where i am coming form.

Hope this helps

3000 psi tanks look at LiPS :)

http://www.lpspaintball.biz/acatalog/Systems.html

will post up again when im not pissed :) in bout 12 hours or so :D

BTW the v-balls will scratch your barrel. Its best to have a specific training barrel

+ If you look, alot of paintballs recommend not to be shot at humans. It is for your own descresion. Don't fire reballs at more than 220 fps.

You at the next keltic/clan walkon?

Thanks for the replies and markie thank you for the info but it doesn't help knowing your £6000 overbudget lol but don't worry. With the sand in the bunkers how much do you put in? just a couple of cms or what and also how easy is it to get out as the bunkers wont be permenant and will have to ber taken down regulary. The price for the compressor is scary but is that for a 5000psi compressor, as I was only kinda looking for a 3000psi one, but I don't need one straight away so I can save up as I have struck a deal with some friends at The local university scuba club who out of the goodness of their hearts have said I can use their compressor =0) (though it might have something to do with my mom being their proffesor lol:rolleyes: ). Also about the sup'air I hadn't really thought about the quality of the bunkers so thanks for that, but I was probably thinking 2nd hand but quite a small field without the giant X's and stuff just trying to keep it nice and simple and regarding that What field layouts would people recommend for 5-man with using as few barricades as possible?

I had a look at the proflex and spectra masks but I've seen that the spectra don't manage to cover the chin on alot of people and also they apparently aren't the easiest at removing lenses and so forth which I was kinda looking for as trying to clean 12 masks if they were something like the invision would leave me without fingers lol but thanks for the recommendation anyway

I will be at the next walkon but there wont be one this month going to the PBA one instead and 3000psi tanks? those were 5000 lol

Thanks again for all the replies
Jamie
