I dont think an apology/explanation is really needed mate. I mean if say the tigers or shock or whoever were to go out to the states and come back with a similar performance. I doubt we would see any of them writing to explain what happened?
Saying that its a quick way of getting reports on tournaments i guess

Now whether I like it or not, Nexus are higher profile than some others, and as such we are gonna come in for more stick and because I write for PGI as a supposed authority, I have a responsibility to explain both what I write and what happens with my team, one tends to validate the other.
The other teams you mention do not have this situation to contend with.

Publicity and exposure can be great, and can be very cruel.
Good luck to Nexus and I hope they qualify for the NPPL next year. That's certainly a very tough race for everyone concerned right now.
I'm excited to see what happens, and what the NPPL brings to our future. I think once again they are taking the sport in the right direction but it's going to be tough on many people and teams. A positive for the sport I think though.
