Who didn't see this coming? Really. I hate to say it but as a nice of a guy and busy as he may be, Tommy really has dropped the ball on this one. Distancing himself from barnett should have been an absolute priority, regardless of his other business, it would of taken, 20 seconds to write a quick statement:
"UWL is currently searching for a new partner in the UK, shoreline will no longer be running the UWL on our behalf".
The one thing that strikes me since this whole saga began is an absolute apathy that people seem to have about wanting to do or say anything. Issues have been known for a long time, yet people wanting not to publicly post or let others know, only sending messages in the shadows or via Robbo.
I can't work out if its pride, embarrassment, trying to save face or loyalty, but had I any association with timboy, the moment the info about gino came out, if not sooner, I would have been announcing the cessation of any business with him to ensure my customers knew the deal and didn't get burned also.

Tom needs to get his webmaster to change that ASAP. That'll cause more confusion if it links to shoreline's site as their international partner.

I quite like it when a scrote like barnett or sables calls me a liar because I'm in a pretty privileged position, and that's because in all the posts I have written, I've never lied - it would be virtual suicide for me and would undermine everything.
How can I be so sure?
Because I really haven't lied or indeed, bent the truth, I might have said things that are not 100% consistent but lord only knows how many posts I've made in this thread alone, Id be surprised if there wasn't ... but it makes me kinda smile when barnett shouts the heavens down with cries of 'Robbo's a liar, blah blah blah' ..
I'll go and read his accusations now but I wanted to get this message out of the way and I'll respond to whatever it is he's bleating about.
He must be so desperate to claw back some ground after the deluge of accusations and experiences that people have testified to in this thread, and after months of searching this thread, he thinks he has got me for something ... he hasn't. Not even close ...
I'm really not stupid enough to lie on here with so many 'interested' eyes searching for anything they can use ... barnett is a pathological liar, he just works on the premise people won't check on whatever he says, but for those who do?
No matter [in his head] .... there's always a few more mugs to replace them ...

I ain't screwed Gino for £61k
I ain't screwed Powerball for £2150
I ain't screwed Simon Cole / Manfred for £21,650
I ain't told people my wife is leaving me [and who patently isn't] ...
I ain't betrayed people who trusted me and helped me ....
I ain't screwed a multitude of other people, most of whom have stated their experiences with him on here ..
I ain't lied my ass off when promoting events when he promises one thing and delivers another ..
The point is, where's my motive for lying?
What would I gain?
Certainly not money, maybe, to get my own way?
Well, that might run parallel with my sense of justice but that's about it ..
.......but what about barnett's motives?
Just take a look at that list above .... there's that and many, many other things he's been up to that have been revealed in this thread ... he has a multitude of motives, I have none outside of a sense of 'the right thing to do' ... that may sound a bit pretentious but for the most part, it's absolutely true.
All I gain in this is aggro to deal with ... not much else !
And as for the UWL?
I think it's obvious what's going on .... Tommy Cole has for reasons of his own, seen fit to remove barnett from promoting his events next year ... if barnett wishes to call Tommy and get confirmation, he's more than welcome to ...
And if you haven't heard or need anything confirming, barnett is no longer the promoter of the official UWL series .. Tommy Cole has told me as much on more than one occasion and I have no reason to doubt him whatsoever.
As for why barnett has been stripped of the UWL?
It's simple really, barnett elected to pi$s off the wrong people ... his time ran out when he decided to screw people out of thousands of pounds .... our industry is relatively small, and for the most part, we all get along fine ... but every now and then, an a$shole comes along and if enough people are screwed over by this as$hole, then we close ranks, for the most part anyhows.
And it is this reason alone that has provided the reason for barnett being relieved of his UWL duties ...

some good points, and I have to agree re your comments on Tommy but I suppose we have to try and see this whole fiasco from both perspectives.
The teams and players who wish to play in it next year have it high on their agendas, and understandably so.
However, the owner and creator of the UWL has a multitude of other concerns to contend with at the moment and with those two perspectives at loggerheads, barnett will take full advantage of the delay.
Hopefully though, the players and teams who possess any sense of what's right and wrong, these guys will not want to put money into the pocket of someone like barnett .... I've been doing my best to nudge things along but inevitably, it comes down to one person, and that is of course, Tommy - and he'll get to it when he can but of course, that don't help people who've been waiting for some sort of official announcement from him...

It ought to have been, Tom has been in paintball long enough to see enough people fall foul of others who are ready to use their intellectual property to their own ends.

I got hold of Gino yesterday and asked if he could help us out and lend his name to the cause and I believe he got in contact with Tommy last night.
