I'm a country member!
To be honest, both NvS and Mayhem were down on numbers this year, Paintfest probably too, there does seem to be a general decline in attendance year on year since the peak.

However, I remember speaking to a tournament player who's first Big Game/Scenario experience was the Zombie land debacle at the theme park. That experience put him off all such formats for the future, I wonder how many other players have come to similar decisions.

On an aside, I heard that the park owners weren't initially told that Zombieland was a paintball event.

One of the major differences I've noticed between barnett and all other UK promoters is, barnett has never once taken responsibility for a damn thing.
It's as if it's anathema to him in the sense he just cannot / will not entertain any notion of making a mistake let alone taking responsibility for one.

If he'd just said to himself, 'ok, I fuhk'd up and I'm sorry for it'.
This would have given his time in paintball a whole new complexion ...... but it was never to be.
He's been the sole architect of an inevitable spiral into his own nefarious destiny - he can blame no circumstance nor anybody but himself and for someone who possesses a personality such as his, a self-critique is tantamount to an admission of weakness/responsibility.
We've all been in positions where we fuhk'd up and most of us have faced those mistakes head on and have at least acknowledged them and at best apologised for them.
I've never known such a specimen as barnett and perhaps his legacy will be best left to psychiatry as against any commentators of our beloved sport .
The real tragedy is not so much his long list of treachery/threats/deceits but he had some positives that could have helped the evolution of our sport but he could never disentangle his psychotic behaviours from his personality.
What a waste - what a c--t ...:/

There has been a distinct lack of people stepping up to say how this event actually was. I know there weren't many there to start with but surely one person was a registered member here?

Everything has been eerily quiet tbh, very little talk about the event (beside the drama around it) on forums and FB groups. Heck, SL haven't posted anything on their FB page since those pretty unbearable gameplay videos on Sunday. In my experience, event organisers will normally post up something on the Sunday night or maybe Monday saying how great the event was, thanking the sponsors and other such stuff.

Hopefully the members on here have read this thread and have some kind of moral decency and didn't want to give a scumbag like TB their hard earned cash
