before anyone says "its still an ion." i know

i started out with a stock red one, and figured it looks exactly like every other one in the uk, so i went ot homebase, and after £20 escaping from my wallet (and about 30 hours of labour)

needs a new feedneck but it fits the egg perfect just now so not in a rush

the black shell needs a few more coats (up close its really rough cos i suck with putty but i think it looks good from a distance) and hey the odds look good that no one else will have an ion that looks the same !

it looks pretty good...

maybey its just because its 2AM in the morning.. and im verry tired..
but it took me a few seconds to realise its an Ion..

it is an Ion to be proud off..
(although the colour scheme isnt that origional..)

hey if i were you I would look at maybe setting up a small business for making the bodies for ions. That is if it took you a short period of time. I mean look on the Web and find out the competitors prices and you could do a price skimming technique or a price penetrator. Its all techno degree speaking.

Frame looks good - body is a little too 'plain' for me (not dissing - just stating). Maybe you could 'engrave' something in there (a logo of some description - see my avatar as an example ).

Do the dye membrain mod - would look a lot better (and it's a lot easier to do 'stuff').

Also, I'd strip and polish the breech.

Thought it looked good at a distance, the smooth body and that, but on the 3rd picture the close up doesn't really do it any justice, just looks like painted wood or something with dents in, no offence. I like what you were trying to do though.

the shell is my least favourite part really, i should of gave it to someone who knew what there were doing with putty hence the rough finish :/ mabey after its had a few more coats it will look a bit better

and yeah it is plain

i was going to spray "I wipe" on one side and "Bite me" on the other lol

what next?

looks pretty good, i've seen much worse on the nation , maybe try a sticker or two on the body to detract from the slight imperfections. you could have some whitty text or a logo as someone said, in a colour to match your frame. otherwise awesome so far, good job

Yea looks good, all it needs is some stickers on the shell to make it look less plain an it will look even better, good job dude, i kno how long something like that takes to make!
