people, people, a couple of informations :

3- we are still willing to cover Millennium events BUT no one wants to support european events, that is why we were'nt in Germany and at Campaign.
What do you mean no one wants to support the events? - What kind of support are you talking about - who is supposed to support who?

Support in that case means : advertising.
As you noticed the movies are free of charge, so the only money comes from 1- people paying us (2- advertising.
Currently the advertisers focus on other events (US events for example), that is their choice of course.

people, people, a couple of informations :

1- we are still around (just released a D Day documentary)

2- One4one has today the largest network for broadcasting paintball not only online, but On Demand, and soon elsewhere

3- we are still willing to cover Millennium events BUT no one wants to support european events, that is why we were'nt in Germany and at Campaign.

4- we find financial support when it comes to US events, so we film US events as we cannot continue to dump money on Euro events for free. The company has to be financially balanced.

5- It is definitly a concern (it should be) for european promoters. ANY company doing a video coverage, webcast....will need financial backing and will never spend personal money on that without getting money somewhere.

It is only a choice of spendings, but a low media coverage = low visibility for events = low money from advertisers.

Robbo => when you say that we will not cover MS events any more, maybe this is true, but I personaly hope that we will continue. Because it would be weird that a european company does not cover european events.

Anyway we'll continue to try, it will work or not, if it doesn't, not only we (one4one) will lose, the MS will loose, the players and sponsors will loose.

PS : you can still support by wearing the super cool limted edition T-shirt :D
:( That sucks. I've enjoyed watching your video's. Hell I've learned more about Tournament Paintball from watching One4One's video's than I've learned from any other video source. (For example Joy Division rock....and US teams all have to say motherf***er every other word lol  )

Have you guys thought of selling more DVD's ? Maybe a stall at the Millenium events so as to sell DVD's and tshirts ? (Definitely buying a tshirt btw as they look great :D

I would suggest that your business model is flawed, if you are unable to make money off events with 120-130 teams :)

Just trying to help ;) - Companies in paintball have this unfortunate tendency to think the market should adapt to them - not the other way around

Nick

P.S.: Mat - you can email me for the bank account - so you can deposit my consultancy fee :p
lol ;) The idea is good and we thought about that already. But shooting vids for teams, then edit it means a lot of time (especially the edition) and I'm afraid the price would be scary for teams that already pay a lot of money to play all over europe.
For example what kind of price would you expect if we shoot your team during Paris event, then edit a 10 mn video with a team profile + a video clip?

A 10 minute edited video that I could use anywhere including our website?

€ 10 per minute I'd say

Mind you, when I say "edited" - it doesn't need to be fancy - I just want a rough cut of our games without any trimings.... and if we want to edit it further ourselves, we can manage..... as can most teams.
